No heat in your car?

Q: I don't have any heat. What could be wrong?
A: It could be something as simple as a lack of coolant, or it could be something more complex, like a clog in coolant system. Clogs can occur in the heater core, radiator, or engine and would require a flush of the system or if bad enough, replacement of the part. Other possibilities could be an under-performing water pump, or a problem in the heater controls. If you do not have any air flow at all, it could be the blower motor or the resistor, which controls the fan speed. One last possibility could be an issue inside the vehicle with the air doors. The air doors switch your temperature from hot (heat) to cold (air conditioning), the doors could be stuck open or closed.
